Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thien, received the first Secretary of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam, John Egan, on November 14 at the head office of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee.
The reception was about the aid for the construction of rural livelihood project in Binh Dinh. Leaders of Binh Dinh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development attended the reception.
At the reception, Vice Chairman Thien thanked New Zealand Government for their aid programmes. He also briefed on the rural development, agriculture, and serious damage caused by flood.
He expressed the hope that New Zealand Government continued aiding Binh Dinh in effectively conducting the rural livelihood project for the poverty alleviation.
John Egan passed on the deepest sympathy to heavy losses and damage Binh Dinh's people suffered. He promised to try his utmost for the aid of the rural livelihood project and the expenditure to overcome damage.
Leaders of provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a meeting with John Egan on particular issues on the same day.
