Binh Dinh's total export turnover in 2007 was estimated to reach US$316 million, a surge of 12.9 percent over the yearly target and of 29.6 percent over 2006.
Agricultural products contributed $54.8 million, accounting for 137 percent of the yearly target, an increase of 58.6 percent over 2006. Forestry products recorded at $201.8 million, accounting for 107.9 percent of the yearly plan, a rise of 23.9 percent over 2006.
Aquatic and sea products were up 66.4 percent with $26.78 million. Minerals and buiding materials surged by 34.7 percent to come in at $21.9 million. Consumer and industrial goods got $10.77 million, a year-on-year decrease of 17.1 percent.
Of 118 export enterprises, there are 16 State-owned ones. The number of private enterprises and foreign-invested ones are 97 and 5, respectively.
