Yesterday (26th February), Binh Dinh Province Department of Agriculture-Rural Development held a meeting on 2006 final evaluation and 2007 implementation plan of Biogas Project. The project has been financed by Netherland government with aims to develop environment friendly breeding method and curb greenhouse gas emission. From March to October 2007, about 1,000 biogas works are expected to be built all over the province. Total 2007 budget of the project is more than VND 4.7 billion (293,750 USD).

In 2006, 725 biogas works were established in 11 suburban districts and cities of Binh Dinh Province at cost of VND 1 million (roughly 63 USD) per work. Construction of the works satisfactorily meets technical standards. Hence, they are all under smooth operation and provide considerable cooking gas.
