Binh Dinh Province to invest VND 386 billion (USD 24,125 million) to build western provincial road network

Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha has just issued a decision on approval of building a road network of in the West of the province.

According to proposal, total investment of the road network is worth VND 386.1 billion (roughly USD 24,125 million). The network starts at Cai Ba Restaurant along the National Highway 19 in An Nhon District, passing through An Nhon, Tay Son, Phu Cat, Phu My, Hoai An District and ends at Chuong Hoa in Hoai Nhon District. The road network’s quality will satisfy  4th-level of Vietnamese quality control system (TCVN 4054-98). It will be 119.654 km in length over 432 bridges and sewers of all kinds, 6.5m in width including 3.5-m main lanes and 1.5-m pavement each side.

Construction of the work is started this year and expected to finish by 2010. An Thai bridge and another bridge over La Tinh river will be built in 2007.

The road network in the west of the province helps to expand the internal transportation system within the province, facilitating socio-economic development programme of the province, exploit benefits of potentialities, strong points and socio-economic development targets of provincial western region.
