To set up a project of installing night-flight operation technical equipments

Yesterday afternoon (27th March), Chairman of People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province held a meeting with Mr. Hoang Thanh, General Director of Middle Airports Authority (MAA), leader of Phu Cat Airport and leader of 940 Aviation Training Centre.

Mr. Thanh announced that the MMA và Phu Cat Airport would start to carry out surveys on 15th April before building and installing night-flight operation technical equipments at Phu Cat Airport as approval of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and direction of Vietnam Airlines Corporation. The project would be VND 20 billion (USD 12,500 thousand) worth of total investment and was expected to finish in the first quarter of 2009. The project aimed to satisfy increasing needs of transportation and overcrowded passengers.

Mr. Ha thanked the MMA for its concern. He pledged to order the provincial government to closely co-operate with the MMA in implementation the project. At the same time, Binh Dinh government would invest in constructing road from National Highway 1A to Phu Cat Airport for sake of the passenger travelling convinience.
