Chairman Vu Hoang Ha welcomes Japan Applied Science Association (ASAJ)

In late Monday afternoon (9th April,2007), at head office of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee, Mr. Vu Hoang Ha, member of Central Vietnamese Communist Party, Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee held a meeting with Mr. Ichiro Nakajima, Chief Consultant in charge of ODA fund of ASAJ. Representatives of Binh Dinh functional bodies and agencies also attended the meeting. (See photo)

Mr.Vu Hoang Ha welcomed ASAJ’s co-operation goodwill and briefly introduced about Binh Dinh Province. Mr. Ichiro Nakajima said that ASAJ had expected to build a pure water processing plant in Binh Dinh with over 220-billion-VND worth of investment  from the ODA fund. Binh Dinh Province would take charge of operating the plant and allocating profit gained from this ODA project to raise a charity fund for healthcare of 250 patients with inborn heart problems in Binh Dinh. ASAJ also wanted to support Binh Dinh Province in building a university as the province’s demand of training.

Mr. Vu Hoang Ha agreed to meet ASAJ’s demand, promising to create the most favourable conditions for its activites. He also suggested that ASAJ should aid Binh Dinh in building a foreign languages university in which there is a Japanese Language Department.
