4 million USD investment for upgrading dairy cattle breed quality

Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha on Tuesday (10th April) promulgated No.792 Decision, approving provincal project on upgrading the quality of dairy cattle breed in 2007-2010 period.

Accordingly, Binh Dinh Province Agriculture and Rural Development Department will be in charge of the 64-billion-project (roughly 4 million USD) in which breeders’capital is 58.1 billion VND (nearly 3,625 million USD), Central budget capital is 0.5 billion VND and local capital is 5.3 billion. The objectives of the project are to produce breeding animals, improve the quality of dairy cattle breed in province and develop the number of dairy cattle breed from 1750 (in 2006) to 5000 (in 2010), including the number of dairy cattle is 1800 with 6200 tons milk output per year.
