85% Binh Dinh’s rural people to use fresh water

According to the report of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee at the launching ceremony of national week on fresh water and rural environmental sanitation 2007, 85% of the rural population will have fresh water, 70% houses will have hygienic toilets, 70% breeders will have sanitary breeding facilities, and all kindergaterns, schools, markets, and the hamlets’ head offices will have fresh water and hygienic toilet by 2010.

In the 1999-2006 period, 16,300 works had been built, providing fresh water for rural people. Also, 145,517 houses had toilets, in which there were biogas-used works or waste treatment areas cutting down the environmental pollution.
