Gemadept invests VND700 billion for construction of Nhon Hoi International port

At the 2007 annual shareholders’ conference of Gemadept Joint-stock company (GMP) held yesterday (May 10), a list of invested projects with the total capital investment of US$ 411 million (nearly VND6.575 billion) was approved. The construction of Nhon Hoi International port at Nhon Hoi Economic zone (Binh Dinh province) is also included in the project.

Accordingly, the Nhon Hoi International port will have the capital investment of VND700 billion ($43.75 million), in which Gemadept will hold 55% of the capital investment (VND385 billion ($24 million)). This project is to be conducted for 5 years from 2008 to 2012. At the first phase of the project, Gemadept is to build a 480-meter-wharf for the anchorage of 30,00-tonnage-freighters.
