The chairman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha in the morning June 11 went to the Republic of Korea (RoK) to attend the conference on “Vietnam – An ideal place for building factories” which is to held in Seoul by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in coordination with ExpoMal company.
At the conference, Mr. Ha plans to meet enterprises in RoK to introduce the Nhon Hoi Industrial Zone and other provincial industrial zones and call on them to invest in Binh Dinh. He is also proposed to meet with the International Trade Association, the Chamber of Commerce, the Banweol national industrial zone, Namdong industrial complex and the Incheon Free Economic Zone in RoK.
Recently, RoK has highly considered the full cooperation with Vietnam and given priorities in providing credits to encourage Korean enterprises to invest in Vietnam. By the end of 2006, the total capital investment of RoK in Vietnam recorded US$7.8 bln, accounted for 18.5% of the total foreign capital investment in Vietnam, making RoK become the third-largest investor in Vietnam.
