There have been 600 volunteers joining in the movement “Helping hands for the exams season 2007” in Quy Nhon city. These volunteers come from Quy Nhon city’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU), Tuy Phuoc district’s HCYU and Quy Nhon University’s HCYU.
50 volunteer groups were established and they will be present at 26 locations, including locations of the exam venues, bus terminals, railway stations, and traffic junctions to help candidates for university entrance exams in Quy Nhon city overcome the expenses of transport, accommodation, food and and provide other useful information.
One new thing of the movement this year is that about 20,000 home-stays (more than 500 free of charge) will be provided. Also, Co-op Mart will provide 800 free meals for poorer candidates and the others will sponsor the rent for disadvantaged candidates coming from other provinces.
The movement “Helping hands for the exams season 2007” in Quy Nhon city will be launched by the Binh Dinh HCYU in collaboration with Youth Newspaper (Thanh Nien) and Thien Long Stationery Company in June 23 and extended to July 11.
In Quy Nhon city-based exam venues there are more than 84,000 candidates applying for Quy Nhon university and Ha Noi-and HCM city-based universities and colleges.
