The kick-off ceremony of the “2007 entrance exam aid” campaign was held on June 23 at the Victory Square of Quy Nhon city. This year’s programme will last from June 23 to July 11 in Quy Nhon city and Tuy Phuoc district with the participation of more than 600 volunteers from the provincial universities, colleges and youth unions. They will form 50 volunteer groups and gather at 30 important locations, such as: the railway station, bus terminals, and the exam venues to provide useful information on the traffic and the expenses of transport, accommodation and food for candidates taking the university entrance exams held in Quy Nhon city. Volunteers will also take part in keeping the public order and the traffic safety.
Nearly 25,000 rooms in accommodation will be offered to candidates free of charge or at a large discount and 50,000 city maps will be given out as well. Apart from this, disadvantaged students will also be provided with 800 free meals and thousands litres of mineral waters.
More than 84,000 candidates will take their July exams in Quy Nhon city this year.
