Nhon Hoi Gemadept granted investment license for Nhon Hoi Int’l Port

The Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Administration on July 18 held a ceremony to grant the investment license to the Nhon Hoi Gemadept International Port Joint Stock Company (Nhon Hoi Gemandept) for the construction of the Nhon Hoi International Port. Mr. Le Huu Loc, the member of the provincial Standing Committee of the Party and Vice-Chairman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee, attended the ceremony.

Under the investment project, the NhonHoiInt’lPort, including tariff and non-tariff ports, will be built on an area of 257.9 ha with the capital of VND3,700 bln (US$229 mln). The port is designed to have annual cargo throughput of 2 million tons by 2010 and 12 million tons by 2020 when in full performance.

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Huu Loc asked the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Administration and investors to soon finish all formalities for the construction of the NhonHoiInt’lPort, meeting foreign investors’ demands.
