19:25', 7/8/ 2007 (GMT+7)

After strongly breaking out for a long time, especially in Quy Nhon city, the rate of petechial fever epidemic has been reduced. Since August, there have been only ten petechial fever-infected cases in the whole province. Particularly, on August 5 there was no new petechial fever-infected case. So far, there have been 526 petechial fever-infected patients in Binh Dinh, according to Mr. Tran Bieu, the vice-director of BinhDinhHealthPreventionCenter.

To prevent the petechial fever epidemic from recurring, the provincial health department have actively carried out prevention measures, such as by publicizing information for the people or mobilizing them to carry out environmental sanitation.
