* Q: Why did IBS decide to open the securities trading agency in Binh Dinh?

* A: Binh Dinh is a potential market for securities. The economic and industrial zones, especially the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, in this province are attracting many investors. In the field of securities, Binh Dinh is also of great concern as some stocks of Binh Dinh-based companies, such as Binh Dinh Mineral Joint-Stock Company (BMC) or Song Hinh-Vinh Son hydroelectric Plant, has got high prices in the securities market.

On the other hand, before opening the securities trading agency in Binh Dinh, IBS had had some Binh Dinh’s enterprises and investors, such as: PISICO Corp. and Binh Dinh Footwear Joint-Stock Company. We have helped Binh Dinh Footwear Company and other companies in Binh Dinh sell their shares. In addition, many enterprises in Binh Dinh will be equitized. This proves that it’s necessary to have securities trading centers to create favourable conditions for investors.

The Ho Chi Minh City-based IBS branch under Incombank Securities Company, Ltd of Vietnam  specializes in the securities investment with the capital of VND300 bln. From the Central province of Thua Thien Hue to the north, IBS’s securities trading agencies belong to IBS Vietnam and from Da Nang city to the south, securities trading agencies are under Ho Chi Minh-based IBS branch. In the Central region and Central Highlands, Binh Dinh’s securities trading agency is the third one after two other agencies had been opened in Khanh Hoa and Da Nang.

* What do you think about the recent decrease of VN-Index?

* A: We think that the fluctuation of Vietnam’s securities market in the past time wasn’t so serious. In reality, Vietnam’s securities market is highly appreciated. Recently, I went abroad to study some securities markets in several countries like Singapore and Korea. Investors in such countries said that Vietnam had potential in developing a securities market; besides, in their opinion, one of the important reasons is that Vietnam’s political situation is stable and it has a quite fast economic development.

* Q: In your opinion, what is the prospect of a securities market and the IBS’s securities trading agency in Binh Dinh?

* A: I’m optimistic. As you can see, many investors visited the securities trading agency on its first day of operation in Binh Dinh. In fact, I was surprised with the fact that IBS’s securities trading agency attracted so many investors.
