Former Vice-Chairman of National Assembly (NA), Nguyen Van Yeu, on August 13 visited Binh Dinh. In the afternoon of the same day, he, accompanied by Mr. Vu Hoang Ha, member of the Central Party, Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee, head of Binh Dinh province’s NA deputies, and leaders of provincial NA deputies and People’s Council visited Quy Nhon seaport.
Mr. Nguyen Tin Dan, director of Quy Nhon seaport, briefed on activities of the port. Since the early 2007, over 2 millions of goods were transported via Quy Nhon port and, currently, many works have been invested with the aim of gaining four millions of good transported via the port by 2010. Particularly, VND300 bln (US$18.7 mln) has been invested in building a 200-meter-wharf for 30,000 DWT-ships and the entrance will be upgraded with 14.5 meter-depth and 120 meter-width for 50,000 ton-ships in Quy Nhon and Nhon Hoi ports. Mr. Nguyen Van Yeu highly appreciated the strong development of Quy Nhon seaport and its upcoming aims.
He on August 14 visited the Quang Trung museum and Nhon Hoi EZ.
