Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee on August 15 granted the investment license to Binh Dinh-New Zealand Gold Co., Ltd (a joint venture between Biotan mineral joint stock company (Binh Dinh) and KS Mining Co., Ltd (New Zealand)) to conduct a US$15 mln project of gold exploration in the Tien Thuan area of Tay Thuan Commune, Tay Son district within 50 years.

According to experts, the Tien Thuan gold mine has a large reserve, which will be able to contribute to the social-economic development in Binh Dinh and create jobs for local residents when being explored.

Gold mining project is the sixth foreign direct investment (FDI) project issued the investment license in Binh Dinh. Currently, the total number of FDI projects in Binh Dinh has been 28 with the capital of over $368 mln.
