Vice-Chairman of Binh Dinh province People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Thien, on September 17 received the recognition delegation for the New Zealand’s International Aid and Development Agency’s (NZAID) sustainable rural development support programme led by Dr. Christopher Wheatley.

The delegation’s visit aims at assisting NZAID in studying the program that will be carried out in Binh Dinh. The delegation will study the background of the programme and activities of Government, other organisations, and funds in Binh Dinh.

The delegation also plans to assist the NZAID’s programme and suggest solutions for NZAID to conduct the programme in Binh Dinh.

Vice-Chairman Thien briefed about the social-economic situation in Binh Dinh, especially the agricultural development, farmers, and rural areas. He expressed the hope that the delegation will effectively work in Binh Dinh.

As planned, the delegation will work in Binh Dinh for nearly two weeks before providing feedback for Binh Dinh province People’s Committee.
