VAHIP project conducted

A meeting to conduct activities of Vietnam Avian and Human Influenza Control and Preparedness Project (VAHIP) was held in Quy Nhon City on January 24.

Under the project, Binh Dinh is one of eleven provinces nationwide being involved in VAHIP worth US$3.8 million.

It is composed of three components, including control of avian flu in agriculture sector, influenza prevention and pandemic preparedness in health sector, and project observation and management.

The three-year project (2007-2010) aims to diminish the health risks to human from avian influenza in Vietnam.
