Binh Dinh to join GFATM-sponsored project

Binh Dinh is one of 29 provinces and cities listed to join the malaria prevention project aided by the United Nations-backed Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM).

The project worth nearly 30 million USD plans to be carried out in the 2009-2013 period, aiming to enhance the community-based malaria prevention and improve the sustainability of the national malaria prevention program.

Under project, training courses on malaria prevention will be held for medical staff from 2009 to 2013. Also, other studies on environment and malaria plan to be carried out.

Binh Dinh has also joined the project in the 2005-2009 period with an aid of nearly 1 million USD used for training courses and medical equipment.
