Many activities have been held from October 16 to 23 in Binh Dinh responding to the Nutrition and Development Week.

The week is held annually to raise awareness about eating a variety of foods and using local produce to ensure a balanced diet and improve health.

The information must be provided for all people to help them know how to store and cook foods healthily.

Health centers need to closely cooperate with the agriculture sector to raise the people’s awareness about agricultural technologies and nutrition, particularly in disadvantaged areas.

Social organisations and provincial bodies should actively join activities ensuring the food safety and strengthen the malnutrition prevention.

Also, activities responding the Nutrition and Development Week could be held under various forms, such as art performance, talks, and competitions.

Health centers need to help people in flood-hit areas to use clean water, re-grow some trees, and pay attention to mother and child care.
