ADB-sponsored health project involves Binh Dinh

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced on November 10 to make a loan of US$72 million to Vietnam to implement the health project in southern central coastal provinces, VOV said. The Government of Vietnam will allocate more US$8 million to the project.

The project will involve Da Nang city and seven central provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan.

Under the project, 20 hospitals will be upgraded and newly built, let alone 5 health centers and a medical school.

The systems of medical waste management, sanitation, and clean water will be also equipped. The training courses and recruitment for the medical staff will be aided, aiming to improve the health care in 423 remote communes.
