The kick-off ceremony of Quy Nhon city environment project took place on March 9 in Quy Nhon city. Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha and World Bank’s (WB) representative attended the ceremony.
WB-sponsored environment project aims to improve the environmental conditions in Quy Nhon City to enhance the people’s living standard and attract more tourists.
The project involves six components with the capital of US$58 million, including the ODA capital of $46 million.
As planned, the project will be carried out in 8 years (2007-2014) with two phases. The first phase (2007-2011) has been conducted with the capital of over $19 million.
Vietnam water supply sewerage and environment construction investment corporation (Viwaseen) conducts the project. Poyry Company is the consultancy.
