US$23 mln invested in building wind power turbine factory

Head of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (EZ) Administration, Man Ngoc Ly, held a meeting with representatives of Fuhrlaender Company and Vietnam Hong Yeung Co., Ltd on March 11.

At the meeting, they talked about the construction of wind power turbine factory in Nhon Hoi EZ (subdivision B), aiming to provide equipment for Phuong Mai No 3 wind power plant and other projects in Vietnam.

As planned, the factory will be built on an area of 7-10 hectares with the capital of US$23 million. Fuhrlaender Company and its partners in Vietnam plan to set up an enterprise by early April. It is expected to be operational in late 2009 or early 2010.

The investment project was suitable to demands of Nhon Hoi EZ, said Ly. He also asked the investor to soon complete all administrative procedures.
