Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Vu Hoang Ha received the Standing Board of the Executive Council of the Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha-Binh Dinh, headed by Monk Thich Thien Nhon on March 26.
The talk was about the celebration of Buddha’s 2552th birthday and other issues.
The provincial authorities fully supported the celebration of Buddha’s 2552th birthday held from May 12-19, according to Chairman Ha. He also added that the mass media would be asked to propagandize the celebration.
Provincial authorities will also consider giving back some Buddhist pagodas but this needs to be done step by step.
