IUCN, NOAA open training course in Binh Dinh

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) held an opening ceremony for the training course for planning the sustainable fishery and sea reserves in Quy Nhon City on April 11.

50 leaders, State management officials coming from China, Cambodia, and provinces and cities in Vietnam attended the course.

IUCN’s and NOAA’s experts plan to instruct methods to build management and fishing exploration for present and future. Also, they help to build quotas to evaluate and develop Vietnam’s sea economy.

Participants have been provided the information on the origin and reality of fishery and the influence of over-fishing on human life and sea resources in the world and Vietnam.

The 7-day-course (from April 11 to 18) aims to meet the demand of improving the sea management, directing towards the sustainable development of fishery and sea reserves Vietnam, China, and Cambodia.
