Many activities respond to United Nations Buddhist Festival of Vesak

The Lord Buddha’s 2552th birthday will be celebrated in Binh Dinh with many activities. The Buddhist week will begin from May 12 to 19 to respond to the United Nations Buddhist Festival of Vesak 2008 hosted by Viet Nam for the first time.

Besides traditional festivities, there will be some activities, including a music program performed at pagodas in Quy Nhon, a lantern celebration held on Thi Nai bridge, and a chain of flower-decorated vehicles will process along the city’s main streets.
