Provincial leaders visit Buddhist dignitaries

Permanent Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee Pham Van Thanh; Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien; Permanent Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tro visited religious facilities, congratulating Buddhist dignitaries on the occasion of the United Nations Day of Vesak 2008 and Buddha’s 2552th birthday on May 18.

Provincial leaders visited provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, Thien Duc pagoda (Tuy Phuoc District), Thien Phuoc pagoda (Phu My District), Dai Vien pagoda (Tay Son District), and Binh Dinh Buddhology school.

They talked about the visit to Ha Noi to attend the United Nations Day of Vesak. Provincial leaders congratulated superior Buddhist monk Thich Nguyen Phuoc.

They also congratulated all dignitaries, nuns, and Buddhist followers on the occasion of Buddha’s 2552th birthday.

Superior Buddhist monk Thich Thien Nhon briefed on activities in the United Nations Day of Vesak. He also thanked for provincial leaders’ concern, creating favourable conditions for the celebration of Vesak Day as well as the Buddha’s 2552th birthday.
