Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh on July 16 received Mr. Andrew Wells–Dang, Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) representative.

CRS is a NGO operating in Vietnam since 1995 in fields of agriculture, health, education, and emergency aid.

Binh Dinh was one of provinces seriously affected by wars and there were a large number of disabled children, said Andrew Wells-Dang.

CRS hopes to carry out the project of “integration education and community support for disabled children” in Phu Cat District, where there are now 902 disabled children.

The project is expected to start from August, 2008 to September, 2009 with the capital of US$65,000.

Vice Chairwoman Binh expressed thanks for CRS’s cooperation and promised to create favorable conditions for the project.
