The exhibition themed “From Go Sanh to Quang Duc pottery” opened on July 24 at Go Sanh Vijaya Champ Binh Dinh Ancient Pottery Museum, Quy Nhon city.

Representatives of Culture-Sports and Tourism Departments of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition displayed a Quang Duc pottery collection including nearly 100 items and Go Sanh pottery. Hundreds of lime pots with different shapes were showed in the exhibition.

Quang Duc pottery originated 300 years ago in Quang Duc (now know as An Thach commune, Tuy An District, Phu Yen province) where a Nguyen clan in Binh Dinh moved to live and made this kind of pottery.

The exhibition held by Go Sanh Vijaya Champ Binh Dinh Ancient Pottery Museum and Phu Yen UNESCO club for collecting and researching antiques was an activity responding to Tay Son – Binh Dinh Festival 2008.
