Binh Dinh Hospital of Ophthalmology to be established

The project of establishing Binh Dinh Hospital of Ophthalmology was approved in the 12th session of provincial People’s Council.

Under the project, Binh Dinh Center of Ophthalmology will be reorganized to set up Binh Dinh Hospital of Ophthalmology.

More than VND22 billion will be invested in building the hospital, including VND16 billion for advanced medical equipment. The hospital will consist of six wards with 90 hospital beds by 2010.

Binh Dinh Hospital of Ophthalmology is expected to improve the treatment of eye-related diseases and carry out blindness prevention programmes.

At present, Binh Dinh Center of Ophthalmology is capable of providing treatment for 200 patients per day.
