Traffic safety month launched

The launching ceremony of traffic safety month was held on September 3 in Quy Nhon city. Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien; leaders of provincial bodies; and the others attended the ceremony.

Under the theme of this year’s traffic safety month, serious traffic accidents and traffic jam are expected to reduce. The people’s awareness of law on traffic safety is also expected to be raised. The effectiveness of investigation and treatment will be promoted.

Speaking at the ceremony, provincial Chairman Thien highly appreciated achievements in ensuring the traffic safety in the past eight months.

He also asked people to abide by law on traffic, particularly students. Thien steered provincial bodies to continue to conduct measures to reduce traffic accidents and traffic jam.

Traffic safety month’s key tasks include the promotion of traffic law education for people, particularly students and teenagers, the increase of patrols for traffic safety, and the conduction of second phase of road and rail traffic safety project.
