Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee on Jan. 6 held a meeting on implementing the provincial People’s Council’s Resolution on the socio-economic development and State budget in 2009.

Permanent Vice Chairman Le Huu Loc emphasized that it’s necessary to focus on overcoming challenges, preventing economic recession, and strengthening industry, trade, services, and agriculture in early 2009, aiming to successfully implement the Resolutions of provincial Party Committee and People’s Council.

He also asked measures for social security and environment protection, gradually improving the people’s living standard.

All sources must be mobilized to invest in developing the infrastructure as well as science and technology, according to the report.

Loc required solutions to the administrative reform, anti-corruption, national defense, political security and public order, and State management.

Provincial bodies also presented measures for the 2009’s tasks. Provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh talked about big cultural and social issues in Binh Dinh.

Provincial Chairman Nguyen Van Thien asked the close cooperation among bodies and local authorities in implementing tasks, administrative reform, and other issues.
