US$174,000 for disabled people, AO/dioxin victims in Phu Cat

Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has approved the project of supporting disable people and AO/dioxin victims in Binh Dinh.

Accordingly, the Ford Foundation-sponsored project will be implemented from Jan., 2009 to Dec., 2010 with the capital of US$174,000.

The project aims at improving the health care and rehabilitation for the disabled and AO/dioxin victims and supporting the economic development and community integration for the disabled.

Also, it is expected to help provide care for disabled children in the community and training courses for medical workers at grass roots level.

About 350 disabled people and families, including 200 disabled children in Phu Cat District will benefit from the projects.
