Vietnam Folk Literature and Art Association has presented prizes to the folk research of 2008.
Dinh Ba Hoa’s collection of Champ Binh Dinh ancient potteries won the third prize. Other research of folk art by Tran Xuan Toan, Le Nhat Ky, Nguyen Phuc Liem, and Yang Danh was awarded consolation prizes.
Vietnam Folk Literature and Art Association presented 62 prizes to the most outstanding research, including 8 second, 31 third, 23 consolation prizes this year.
The highest prize was granted to Ha Dinh Ty’s collection of Khat thong dam songs (songs to say goodbye to the souls of Tay ethnic group in Nghia Lo town, the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai).
