Over VND26 billion for poor people to enjoy Tet

Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has issued the decision to support VND26.180 billion for 41,648 poor households. Accordingly, every poor person will be provided with VND200,000 to enjoy Tet but not over VND1 million for each household.

- The delegation led by Ho Quoc Dung on Jan. 19 visited the province’s vocational school for disabled people and Hoai Nhon Psychiatric Center.

The delegation also presented gifts to students and donated VND5 million to help patients enjoy Tet.

- Local residents in An Lao District were provided with 78 tons of rice; many gifts were also presented to revolutionary veterans and social policy beneficiaries.

- Binh Dinh Red Cross on Jan. 18 visited the flood-hit communes of Phuoc Thanh and Phuoc Hiep in Tuy Phuoc District and offered 500 households 10 tons of rice.

- The Military Telecommunication Corp. on Jan. 19 presented a house to Nguyen Van Nhi, a war invalid who is now homeless.

- The Asia Commercial Bank in Binh Dinh on Jan. 19 presented gifts to 80 disabled children studying at Binh Dinh Vocational School.

- Quy Nhon City Veterans’ Association and the representative of Mai Linh Corp. visited six disadvantaged families whose members are veterans in Nhon Ly commune.
