Binh Dinh provided with VND20 bln, 1,400 tonnes of rice

The Government will allocate 10,000 tonnes of rice and 460 billion VND to support localities in central and Central Highlands regions to recover from the effects of typhoon Ketsana.

According to a decision, signed by the Prime Minister on Oct. 2, of the aid, will receive 1,400 tonnes of rice and 20 billion VND.

The aid aims to help the victims to overcome hunger, buy seedlings to restart production and to rebuild schools, medical stations, irrigation and transport networks, as well as aid environmental hygiene and disease control.

Also, the PM decided to support 31 provinces in removing residents from areas prone to flooding and landslides. Accoringly, Binh Dinh will receive 12 billion VND.
