Quy Nhon Port has been carrying out many projects, aiming to improve the cargo-loading capacity.

Previously, it invested VND105 billion in upgrading many facilities to increase the cargo-loading capacity up to 3.7 million tons this year.

At present, a container wharf has been under construction with the capital of VND750 billion. The wharf is expected to be fully operational by late 2010, according to director of Quy Nhon Port, Nguyen Tin Dan.

Vietnam Maritime Administration will also kick off the estuary dredging project worth VND76 billion at Quy Nhon Port in November this year, allowing 50000-ton ships to travel through the port easily.
