A grand meeting was held in Binh Dinh on October 30 to commemorate the day 60 years ago when Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and military specialists were first sent to Laos to support its revolution.
After the resistance war against the US imperialists broke out, thousands of Vietnamese officers were again sent to Laos to help the neighboring country strengthen its revolutionary forces and launch political propaganda campaigns against the enemy until the final victory of the revolution.
At the meeting, participants reviewed the Vietnamese voluntary soldiers’ achievements when helping the Lao people to overcome difficulties and challenges.
