Quy Nhon poised to become first-grade city

At the the 16th session of the 10th tenure provincial People’s Council, participants approved the Resolution on proposing the recognition of Quy Nhon as the first-grade city affiliated to Binh Dinh Province.

The city has reaped dramatical achievements in the past 10 years since it was recognized as the second-grade city, meeting a standardized set of regulations.

Quy Nhon now includes 21 administrative units with 16 wards and 5 communes. It has a population of more than 311,000.

Becoming the first-grade city is expected to help Quy Nhon boost its development, deserving one of three hubs in the south central coastal region.
