Flood victims aided in rebuilding houses

The representatives of Binh Dinh Provincial Women’s Union and Thanh Nien Newspaper on December 24 kicked off the house construction for 10 households in flood-hit districts of Phu Cat, Tuy Phuoc, and Quy Nhon city.

Their old houses had been completely destroyed when the typhoon Mirinae hit the central provinces last month.

The construction is expected to be finished by January 29, 2010.

The Union also allocated a financial assistance of VND145 million to poor women who were severly affected by the eleventh storm in districts of Hoai Nhon, Phu My, Tuy Phuoc, An Nhon, and Quy Nhon city.
