Workshop on climate change in Quy Nhon city held

Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee on Feb. 27 held a workshop on experience to cope with the climate change in Quy Nhon city.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the province’s People’s Committee Le Huu Loc and 100 experts and representatives of provincial relevant bodies attended the workshop.

Many reports presented experiences to cope with climate change. Representatives of the UK-based Challenge to Change (CtC) talked about the project on the capacity building to cope with and respond to the effects of climate change in Vietnam’s cities and the national target program on the climate change adaptation.

Also, the province’s People’s Committee, CtC, and the Research Institute on Climate Change and Environment signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the project of capacity building for coping with climate change in Quy Nhon city and surrounding areas.
