US$50,000 for cassava development

The UNDP’s Global Environment Facility (GEF) has sponsored Binh Dinh Gardening Association with the capital of US$50,000, aiming to implement the community based- sustainable development of cassava project.

The project comprises of policy building, technology transfer and training, and the spread of cassava planting on exhausted soil.

The project is expected to last by the first quarter of 2011.
