The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province held a meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) led by Minister Pham Khoi Nguyen on May 13.
Provincial Vice Chairman Le Huu Loc briefed the delegation on the State management over the natural resources and environment issues, such as land management, environment protection, minerals, and the inspection.
The province has finished adjusting the land-use planning up to 2010. The environment protection was focused on, creating considerable changes in industrial zones and craft villages.
However, there still exists some shortcomings in forming the land-use planning, issuing the certificate for land-use right, and preventing the environmental pollution in industrial zones.
Minister Nguyen acknowledged the province’s efforts in the State management, but asked for more attention to the climate change and land price evaluation.
Land and minerals are the invaluable resources, he said. It’s, therefore, necessary to abolish the so-called “asking-giving” mechanism in the fields.
