The project will benefit Da Nang City and seven other provinces, namely Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.

It will construct 26 new medical establishments, including 12 at district level, five at regional level, one provincial-level hospitals, a sanitarium-rehabilitation hospital, a traditional medicines hospital, a medical school and five preventive health centres.

The project will also assist these localities to develop their human resources for the health sector and improve the management of provincial healthcare services.
