Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh received Margie Lowe, New Zealand's International Aid and Development Agency (NZAID) Manager, on May 26.

NZAID Manager briefed the province’s leader on the implementation of NZAID-sponsored “Early Childhood Care and Education” (ECCE) program in Binh Dinh.

NZAID agreed to offer US$2,138 million to the “sustainable rural livelihood in Binh Dinh: connect poor farmer with market” project, according to Margie Lowe.

She expressed the hope the project will be soon submitted to the Government and Ministries for approval.

The Working Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations granted the  license to Vietnam-New Zealand Health Trust  to operate in Vietnam, said Margie Lowe.

Binh expressed thanks NZAID for its sponsorship for some projects implemented in Binh Dinh, including the maternal and child heath project finished by late December last year and ECCE program expected to be ended by late 2009.
