RCC technology proves effective in building dam
15:10', 22/6/ 2009 (GMT+7)

A workshop on using Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) technology in building Dinh Binh water reservoir was held in Quy Nhon city on June 21.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Ngoc Thuat, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien, and other leaders attended the workshop.

Dinh Binh is the first multi-purpose water reservoir built by using RCC technology in Vietnam. It is now in full operation.

Participants agreed the RCC technology helped reduce the process as well as the cost by 15-20 percent.

Speaking at the workshop, Thuat highly valued the use of RCC technology in building Dinh Binh water reservoir.

He also hoped that RCC technology will be used in building other reservoirs nationwide in the coming time.
