First 6 months see fairly development

The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province held a meeting on the province’s socio-economic situation in the first six months and the implementation of key task in the coming time on June 23.

Reports said that provincial bodies and agencies have made every effort to overcome difficulties, reaping considerable results.

The economy has fairly developed. The province’s GDP reached over VND4 trillion, a rise of 8.3 percent against the same period last year.

Most fields have all seen increases, with a 11.1 percent rise in agricultural production-forest-aquaculture, a 5.1 percent increase in industry and construction, and a surge of 7.7 percent in services compared to the same period last year.

Social and cultural activities had positive changes and political security and public order were improved.

The province’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thien asked bodies and agencies to focus on strengthening the industry, trade as well as other projects, aiming to finish this year’s tasks.
