Vietnam Orientally Traditional Medicine Association (VOTMA) held a meeting in Quy Nhon city on July 2.

Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh and leaders of oriental medicine associations of Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam provinces, and Da Nang city participated in the event.

Representatives of provinces’ oriental medicine associations reported their achievements in one year, from May, 2008-June, 2009, and shared experiences with each other.

Binh Dinh oriental medicine association effectively steered the treatment and diagnosis using oriental medicine, according to the report.

However, it is still facing some difficulties. It hasn’t got any affiliates in two districts. Also, many highly-qualified herbalists have no chance to devote their experiences to State-owned health services.
