Provincial Chairman receives Consul General of Laos in Da Nang

Mrs Siphone Banchongphanith, Consul General of Laos in Da Nang yesterday paid a visit to the central province of Binh Dinh before leaving Vietnam at the end of her term.

Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien held a meeting with her.

Thien briefed her on the province’s socio-economic development, investment attraction, measures to curb the economic downturn, and cooperation programmes with Southern provinces of Laos.

He expressed many thanks to Mrs Siphone Banchongphanith for her support for central provinces as well as Binh Dinh, hoping that she will continue assisting the province in boosting the cooperation between Binh Dinh and Southern provinces of Laos.

Mrs Siphone Banchongphanith thanked the province’s leaders, bodies, and organisations for helping Southern provinces of Laos in training manpower and developing production.

She also affirmed that she is always willing to contribute to strengthen the friendship between two countries.
